QUANAH AND FRIENDS - STORIES
Part Five

Quanah would eat anything that Mr. and Mrs. W would eat because he thought he was a person. So he would eat people food. Sometimes it did not taste very good, like lettuce or vegetables, but he would eat it because his mummy and daddy, Mr. and Mrs. W were eating it.

There were two things that Quanah really liked, besides chicken. Coffee whitener powder and the cat biscuits for the outside cats. Mr. and Mrs. W fed many feral and stray kitties, and would buy special food for them. Because the outside kitties needed more fat to keep them warm in the winter, their food had more fat in it. But it was not good food for the indoor kitties, especially Quanah.

But Quanah would try as hard as he could to get the outside cat biscuits. He figured that since he could not have them, they must be something special, so he tried very hard to get them. When Mr. and Mrs. W were not looking, Quanah would sneak into the bag that had these biscuits in it.

Quanah also liked coffee whitener powder. When Mr. and Mrs. W would make their coffee, they would put the sugar and whitener powder into the mug first, to wait for the hot water to boil. While they were waiting, Quanah would lick his paw, reach into the mug, and get coffee whitener on his paw and then he would lick it off.

Sometimes for a treat, Mr. and Mrs. W would put some coffee whitener powder into a little dish for Quanah. He would sniff at it, and the powder would go all over the place in a poof. But then Quanah got allergies from the coffee whitener powder and the outside cat biscuits. His lip would swell up and Doctor Jackie said not to let him have too much of these things because he was allergic to them.

End of Part Five.
