QUANAH AND FRIENDS - STORIES
Part Eleven

Mr. and Mrs. W love cats and take care of any feral and stray kitties that come for food and help. There was one female feral (they named her Callie) who they could not catch for a long time and in two and half years she had 27 kittens. Mr. and Mrs. W found homes for them all.

Callie's first litter was born in the garage on June 11, 2006 with four boys and one girl. When the kittens were four weeks old, Mr. and Mrs. W rescued them to socialize them, to get them use to people so they could be adopted.

In this litter there was one special little boy who Mr. and Mrs. W adopted and named him Buster Brown. Buster is very special cause he was born with only three legs.

Buster Brown at 2 months old

People would always feel sorry for Buster because he was different but Buster does not know he is different. He can run like the wind, jump like the other kitties, and gets into mischief like all the others.

When he was little, Buster did have trouble climbing like his brothers and sister but Mrs. W made stairs for him so he could climb up onto the bed and anything that was too high for him to jump onto. As Buster grew, his back legs became very strong and he can jump very high.

Buster Brown

Buster is a very gentle kittie who acts as the helper when Mr. and Mrs. W rescue other kittens to be socialized and adopted. Buster loves babies and is often sad when it is time for them to leave to go to their new homes.

And eventually Mr. and Mrs. W were able to catch Buster's mother Callie and have her spayed so she will not have anymore babies.

End of Part Eleven.
